Account & Data Deletion
The Udder Way (TUW) respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data from The Udder Way mobile app and our linked services.
How to request account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time, in either of the following ways:
1. From within the mobile app
- Open The Udder Way app on your device.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account.
- Confirm the request.
2. By email
Send a deletion request from the email address registered to your account to:
Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your account
- The phrase “I request deletion of my account and personal data”
What data is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following will be permanently removed:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your password and authentication credentials
- Your account profile and preferences
- Saved payment / billing details linked to your TUW account
- Your order history visible in-app (subject to retention period below)
- Any uploaded images, notes, or content tied to your account
- App usage analytics linked to your identity
What data is retained, and for how long
Some information must be retained for a limited period to meet legal, financial, food-safety, and fraud-prevention obligations. After the retention period, this data is also permanently deleted.
- Transaction and invoice records — retained for 7 years as required by Australian tax law (ATO) and equivalent UK / US obligations.
- Food-safety traceability data (keg / delivery records linked to a venue) — retained for 2 years as required by HACCP and dairy traceability rules.
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics — may be retained indefinitely. This data cannot be linked back to you.
How long deletion takes
We process valid deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been completed.
If your account is deleted
Once your account is deleted:
- You will be logged out of the app on all devices.
- You will no longer be able to access your order history or app features.
- To use The Udder Way app again you will need to create a new account.
